Proven to reduce HbA1c without the increased risk of hypo3
For type 2 patients on once daily basal insulin only, JAZZ™ DoseCoach® assists in the self-adjustment of their insulin doses.
It does this using a feature called Dose Helper, which after the HCP determines the starting dose, it safely2 suggests gradual adjustments to the patient's basal insulin dose until their fasting blood glucose readings are within their target range.
The JAZZ DoseCoach incorporates a blood glucose meter with a large memory and uses the same testing strip as the family of JAZZ blood glucose meters, which is on the NHS Drug Tariff at £8.74.
JAZZ DoseCoach devices and activation keys are supplied free of charge to healthcare professionals who have undertaken JAZZ DoseCoach training. Activation keys are available for Lantus and Toujeo glargine insulins and three different treatment plans for each insulin. The device is personalised and activated by inserting the relevant key into the USB port of the DoseCoach and following the simple on-screen instructions.
Once the DoseCoach-trained HCP has personalised and activated the device, it is then ready for the patient to follow the easy steps that will lead to dose adjustment suggestions from day four onwards.
Dose Helper will suggest on a daily basis, gradual adjustments to the patient's daily basal insulin dose until their fasting blood glucose readings are within the target range.
